Triarii - New armor concept and process

Before starting my new position for Salix Augeat I took some time to revisit my process for concepting that really paid off.

Over time I plan to revise a lot of the work I produced for my senior thesis to hopefully develop into a much more thought out and realized vision for a dystopian martian government. The Triarii was the first design i produced back in 2021 and it really shows, at the beginning my goal was to make something that looked like a typical "game industry bad guy", but overtime I fell in love with this pseudo soviet punk future. The gears truly clicked late in the process with the Histatii concept shown in the "Old Vs New" slide.

Overall id like to incorporate more silly weird stuff into my concepts, as I think those are the things I enjoy the most, and the things that define me as an artist.
